2024 Spring Evaluations

Player evaluations for registered players league age 7 to 13 will take place on Saturday, January 20th at Shamel Park (front field). League age is determined by how old the player will be on August 31st, 2024 (for example, a current 11 year old whose birthday is in August, is considered league age 12). League Age Calculator

Players are required to have completed document review (age verification/residence verification) in order to be eligible to be placed on a team. We will have a table for in-person document verification set up on evaluation day. Documents can also be sent to [email protected].

Residence for the league can be verified using Residence Verification Documents or School Enrollment Form.
Age verification requires a copy of an original birth certificate.

Evaluations:

Players that do NOT need to attend evaluations:
  1. Players aged 4-6 (All T-Ball and League age 6 players in Minor A division) do not participate in evaluations.
  2. League age 7 players in the T-Ball division do not participate in evaluations
  3. Challenger Division players do not participate in evaluations.
ALL other players are expected to attend.

There will be a check-in table for players to visit and receive an evaluation number, and receive instructions on where to report for their evaluation. Players should be dressed and equipped for baseball activity (baseball pants or sweats, cleats, baseball hat, glove, helmet, bat, athletic supporter/cup). There will be a few helmets and bats on hand that can be loaned to players who may not have their own.

Evaluation Check in times:

League Age     Check in Time
 13  8:30am
 12  9:00am
 11  9:30am
 10  10:00am
 9  10:30am
 8  11:00am
 7  11:30am

Players who do not participate in evaluations will be blind drafted onto a team (random draw out of a hat), and will not be eligible to be selected by a team manager. All registered players will be placed on a team, but it is in the best interest of the player, managers, and league if everyone attends evaluations.

Based on evaluations, it is possible that a player may play in a division other than the division registered for. This is to ensure a balance in the teams and that players are selected in a division best suited for their experience and skill level.

The ultimate goal is to achieve fair and balanced teams among each division, and have a fun and competitive season.

Team drafts will be held during the week of January 22nd (dates/times still TBD). Teams are expected to be finalized and notifications sent out to players/parents no later than February 3rd.
